American Services is a rail, civil and emergency response contractor working out of three yards across the Mid South and Gulf. Three generations of contractors built this company on the belief that safe crews are fast crews, and that documentation protects everyone on site.
Who we are
Our people have spent decades in railroad services and emergency response. That experience is the product. Equipment can be rented and crews can be hired, but knowing what a scene needs in the first thirty minutes only comes from having stood on a few hundred of them. Our derailment team and our emergency response team are available for deployment 24 hours a day, every day.
Where we work
Headquarters in Southaven, Mississippi, with yards in Middleton, Tennessee and Georgia. Our standard territory is Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Alabama.
Safety
On a railroad or inside a plant, the contractor’s safety record becomes the client’s safety record, which is why our clients audit us and why we welcome it. We maintain a written safety program, our crews are trained and qualified for the work they are assigned, and we hold the certifications the work requires, including BNSF certified load transfer. We work with strategic partners and we thank them for the relationships that keep our operations safe.
